Workshop on macroeconomic dataset
On 10 September, the Centre for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG) of the Faculty of Economics, University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM), organizes a workshop on a dataset on macroeconomic variables in Mozambique produced under the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme.
The macroeconomic dataset is the result of compiling publicly available macroeconomic indicators from different online platforms, including that of the National Institute of Statistics (Instituto Nacional de Estatistica, INE) and the Central Bank of Mozambique (Banco de Moçambique, BM), resulting in a single source of data of macroeconomic relevance.
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize the participants with the dataset, identify specific topics for further analysis, and promote research using the data. It is targeted for researchers and analysts at the Faculty of Economics of UEM and the Ministry of Economy and Finance as well as others interested in carrying out research using macroeconomic data in Mozambique. It is given by Ricardo Santos, UNU-WIDER Research Fellow and Resident Advisor at CEEG.
