Designing enterprise surveys training

The Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes, on 17 March 2022, a one-day training on designing enterprise surveys. Topics covered include sampling of formal and informal firms, survey design (finding and measuring variables of interest), and model specification.

The training is co-ordinated by the Centre for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG) of the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) and given by Firmino Guiliche, UEM, and Hanna Berkel, University of Copenhagen PhD Fellow and Non-Resident Advisor of the IGM programme.

The course consists of lectures, group discussions and exercises. It is targeted for the research staff and PhD students at UEM, technicians at relevant ministries and other public institutes (Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, National Institute for Statistics), as well as Mozambican business associations such as CTA (Confederação das Associações Económicas de Moçambique), ASSOTSI (Associação dos Operadores e Trabalhadores do Sector Informal), and IPEME (Instituto para a Promoção das Pequenas e Médias Empresas).
