IGM Research Roadshow in Nampula
On 15 September, the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes a half-day seminar in Nampula showcasing key research and data produced under the programme.
Special focus will be given to recent inquiries on the school-to-work transitions of higher education and TVET students in Mozambique and on the Mozambican manufacturing sector enterprises, as well as selected research on inequality and the impact of COVID-19. The seminar will also provide insights into how the research and analysis carried out under the programme influence policy.
The seminar is part of the IGM Research Roadshow initiative. The main objective of the roadshow is to disseminate key results of the IGM research to broader audiences in Mozambique, including academics, policymakers, university students, and local media in central and northern Mozambique. It further aims to promote awareness of the datasets produced under the programme, stimulate research using these data, and foster research networks between Mozambican universities.
Three events will be organized as part of the IGM Research Roadshow: the first one on 15 September in Nampula, Nampula Province, the second on 28 September in Beira, Sofala Province, and the third on 5 Ocotober in Maputo, Maputo Province. See here for more on the event in Beira, and here for the event in Maputo.
The IGM Research Roadshow is coordinated by the Center for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG) of the University of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) in partnership with the University of Lúrio Business School (UBS) in Nampula, Nampula Province, and the University of Zambeze in Beira, Sofala Province.
