Call for Papers – IGM Annual Conference 2023

The 2023 annual academic conference of the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme will take place in November in Maputo, Mozambique, under the topic of ‘Agricultural development in Mozambique: trends, challenges and opportunities’.

The conference will bring together national and international academics, policy-makers, and agriculture sector representatives to discuss and analyse the dynamics of the agricultural and forestry sectors in Mozambique and their contribution to sustainable development in the face of present and future challenges, including climate change.

The conference is organized in partnership between the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Centre for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG) of the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM), the University of Copenhagen (UCPH-DERG) and the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER).

In this context the IGM programme launches a Call for Papers on the topic of the conference for national and international researchers. Submissions from local researchers, especially women, are encouraged.

Paper proposals, written in English or Portuguese, shall be submitted to igmozambique@wider.unu.edu by 31 March 2023.

Draft papers accepted for submission are due by 31 August 2023, final papers by 15 October 2023.

The lead authors of proposed studies accepted for submission will be invited to sign a contract to produce a final paper, to be considered for presentation at the conference, for which a monetary payment will be offered in line with international norms.
