IGM Seminar Series
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the world in a profound and unexpected way. In Mozambique, like elsewhere, the public sector, businesses, academia, development practitioners and communities have been forced to radically adapt their ways of working and thinking in order to push ahead in a challenging situation.
Moving onto a digital platform, the IGM Seminar Series wants to take stock of these developments and continue to deliver on our programme’s mission to produce and share relevant research for better economic and social policy.
Presenting the current research carried out under the IGM programme, the seminar series will explore the challenges of promoting inclusive growth in Mozambique at a time of overlapping crises: the economic and financial crisis of hidden debt, the climate crisis, and the global health crisis.
Programme
Seminars will be run using the Zoom video-conferencing platform. Each seminar will feature a presentation of 30 minutes followed by a moderated Q&A session for discussion.
The presentations will be in Portuguese.
The seminars will take place on a Thursday at 15:00–16:00 (Maputo time, GMT +2).
The programme for the series will be regularly updated throughout the second half of 2020 as seminars are confirmed.
