Workshop on impact evaluation

On 17 August 2023, the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes a half-day workshop on impact evaluation as an instrument to improve public policies in Mozambique.

The objective of the workshop is to present and discuss how impact evaluations can help in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public policies in several sectors, including education, health, agriculture, housing, labour, etc. The workshop presentation includes practical examples from other countries, such as Brazil and South Africa.

The workshop is targeted for technical-level staff at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and other relevant government institutions. It is coordinated by the National Directorate of Economic and Development Policies (DNPED) of MEF, in collaboration with the National Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation (DNMA) of the same ministry, and given by Rodrigo Oliveira, UNU-WIDER Associate Researcher.
