Short course on SAM (Social Accounting Matrix) and CGE modeling

The Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes a five-day course on SAM (Social Accounting Matrix) and CGE modeling between 10 and 14 July 2023.

The course is designed for staff at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and members of the Faculty of Economics of the University Eduardo Mondlane (UEM). It aims to introduce participants to the main components of standard CGE models, emphasizing the use of economy-wide models and the economic interpretation of their results, rather than the techniques of constructing them.

The training is coordinated by the Center for Studies in Economics and Management (CEEG) from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM)and given by Dirk Van Seventer, Consultant at the University of Copenhagen, with the support of Giulia Barletta and Francesca Gioia both UCPH-DERG Resident Advisors at DNPED-MEF.
