Rodrigo Oliveira gives a seminar on recent advances in development economics at UEM

On 18 August, Rodrigo Oliveira, UNU-WIDER Research Associate, gives a seminar on recent advances in development economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM). In his presentation, Rodrigo Oliveira focuses on the transformative potential of recent developments in economics, in particular in terms of increasing computing power and the availability of databases in improving public and welfare policies. He further talks about how researchers can prepare themselves to take full advantage of these developments and contribute to the development of their communities.

The event is organized under the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme. It is aimed at students in economics and members of the Faculty of Economics at UEM.
