Poverty Analysis using STATA training

Between 29 November and 3 December 2021, a Poverty Analysis using STATA training takes place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Eduardo Mondlane. The training is organized by the Centre for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG) as part of the capacity development component of the Inclusive growth in Mozambique Programme and is given by poverty specialists at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique. It is aimed at students in Economics, academics, and practitioners in government institutions.

The five-day training consists of an introduction to the statistical analysis software STATA and thematic sessions on multidimensional poverty and inequalities, each followed by individual and group exercises using existing databases, including the Household Survey (Inquérito sobre Orçamento Familiar, IOF) database. The training culminates with the presentation of a group work.
