Research proposal workshop

Project researchers share tools and methodologies

One of the main aims of the Inclusive Growth in Mozambique project is, among other key aspects of intervention, to build research capacity in Mozambican research partners, the Faculty of Economics of Eduardo Mondlane University and the Ministry of Finance.

With this goal in mind, the Faculty of Economics recently an initiative to stimulate and support research by its teaching staff and postgraduate research students. UNU-WIDER research fellows, Ricardo Santos and Vincenzo Salvucci, were asked to lead a workshop on research methodology, which was held on 14 March 2018 in Maputo.

The workshop provided participants with tools and methodologies to support them in writing research proposals. There was a diverse group of 34 in attendance, including teachers from the Faculty of Economics, Economics and Management PhD students, and project trainees. At the workshop attendees learned more about the process of research, possible research topics and guidelines on how to write research proposals.
