Vincenzo Salvucci presents results on food price shocks and malnutrition

UNU-WIDER Research Fellow Vincenzo Salvucci presented his recent results on the effect of food price shocks on child malnutrition in Mozambique at the Workshop on International Development, 26-27 October 2017, in Rome. In his research, with co-authors Channing Arndt, M. Azhar Hussain, Finn Tarp and Lars Peter Østerdal, he has explored issues related to poverty, inequality, and child malnutrition, mainly using microdata for Mozambique from 2008/09.

This event gathered together academics and development practitioners who presented innovative research on key development challenges, which ranged from migration to climate change, and rural development to the labour market. The workshop aimed also to identify information gaps relating to these themes, thus helping to guide future research efforts. It was organized by the Italian Centre for International Development (ICID) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
